Three die in Bridlington house fire
Three children have died and their mother is in a serious condition in hospital after a house fire in Bridlington. The fire broke out at the Clarence Avenue property at around midnight on 11th November.
Fire fighters fought to rescue the children but sadly, Maddie, aged 3, William, ages 9 and AJ aged 5 all died.
Head of operations at Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said “We were faced at the time with a very severe house fire. This is a typical sort of three-storey terraced property, fire on the ground floor but very intense, very dense smoke logging right throughout the property. Fire crews made a search of the building and, very regrettably, we found four casualties who were rescued from the second floor of the building”.
It is too early to establish the cause of the blaze but it not thought that it was started deliberately.
