Fire Safety in Housing Associations
In July 2008, a new national guidance was released for landlords, managing agents and enforcers aimed at reducing the number of fires in residential properties each year. This guidance was developed by LACORS, the Chief Fire Officers Association and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. This guidance gives advice on how to keep residential buildings safe from fire, and details your responsibilities when managing these properties. The guidance details how you must ensure that a Fire Risk Assessment is made on any properties you own or manage.
Our Fire Safety in Housing Associations course highlights all of the areas identified in the guidance, highlighting the Risk Assessments required and your responsibilities as the responsible person. Our highly experienced trainers all have a minimum of 10 years operational service in one of the UK Fire Services, meaning that their experience can be utilised during the training, as well as being able to perform a Fire Risk Assessment on your properties.
