Fire warden training courses for your staff
In addition to making sure that your employees are trained in fire awareness, it is also a legal requirement that your business provides a number of fire wardens (or fire marshals as they are also known), to monitor and maintain fire safety in the workplace.
Following the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is necessary for you to assign fire wardens for your business with the responsibility of ensuring that fire safety is taken seriously and all procedures / equipment are up to date.
The exact figure for the total of fire wardens you will need shall be determined by the findings of the Fire Risk Assessment which is conducted on your business premises. These fire wardens will need to undergo a training course to provide enough cover in the event of a fire and to frequently monitor the fire safety equipment installed on the premises including the all important fire alarm system.
The training course should be conducted by experienced fire safety personnel and you can find these services located throughout the UK. The training itself consists of a presentation followed by practical handling of fire safety equipment, with the opportunity to tackle a variety of controlled fires. Upon completion of the course, the fire warden will be presented with a certificate verifying their achievement.
