Gas Explosion in Stretford flat

A block of flats in Stretford were evacuated after a gas explosion at around 8.30am on Sunday 19th December. The blast caused damage to the communal area of the building but no one was injured.
The incident is being investigated by the police and National Grid to establish the cause of the explosion.

Police evacuate residents in Worthing homes

Residents have been evacuated from their homes after a fire broke out in a nearby outbuilding
The outbuilding in Penfold Road, Worthing was thought to have contained acetylene cylinders which are highly explosive. Sussex Police asked residents to leave their homes whilst the area was made safe by firefighters.
No causalities have been reported.
